Baby Shower Invitations Made Easy

Planning a baby shower comes with a lot of little details, and invitations are one of the first things you’ll want to check off your list. Whether you prefer the convenience of a digital invitation or the traditional feel of a beautiful printed invitation, there are plenty of great options available.

Here are a few resources we recommend to help make the process easier.

💌 Digital Invitations + Online RSVPs

Digital invitations are one of the easiest ways to invite guests and keep track of your guest count. Instead of waiting for guests to call or text their RSVP, many digital invitation platforms allow guests to respond directly through the invitation.

Evite

Evite offers a large selection of baby shower invitations that can be customized and sent by text or email. Guests can RSVP electronically, and hosts can easily keep track of who is attending, who declined and who has not responded.

Some designs are free, while premium options and additional features are also available.

Canva is one of our favorite resources for DIY invitations. They have hundreds of baby shower templates that you can customize with your colors, wording, photos and theme.

Once your invitation is finished, you can download a high-resolution PDF for printing or share the design electronically.

Great if you want:

Etsy

Best for: Unique themes and custom invitation templates

Etsy is another wonderful resource, especially if you have a very specific baby shower theme in mind. Search for your theme followed by “baby shower invitation,” and you’ll usually find plenty of options from independent designers.

Many sellers offer editable digital templates that you can personalize yourself, while others will personalize the invitation for you and send you a finished file that is ready to print.

💡 Our Planning Tip

Choose your invitation early in the planning process!

Your invitation does more than tell guests where and when to arrive — it can become the inspiration for your entire baby shower.

When selecting an invitation, think about:

✓ Your color palette
✓ Your baby shower theme
✓ Florals, animals or graphics you love
✓ The overall style you want for your celebration
✓ Any special wording or details you want incorporated

Once you've chosen your invitation, save a copy!

If you're working with us on your baby shower décor, your invitation or another inspiration photo is one of the best things you can send us. We can use it as inspiration when developing the color palette and overall look for your celebration.

When Should Invitations Go Out?

As a general rule, we recommend sending baby shower invitations approximately 4–6 weeks before your shower. If several guests will be traveling from out of town, consider giving them a little additional notice.

And don't forget to include the important details:

✓ Parent(s)-to-be
✓ Date and time
✓ Venue name and address
✓ RSVP information and deadline
✓ Baby registry information
✓ Dress code, if applicable
✓ Any special requests for guests

A little planning in the beginning can make everything that follows much easier — and we're always happy to provide our clients with resources that make planning their celebration a little less stressful and a lot more fun.
